Vietnamese government statistics show that the economic growth rate in the third quarter of this year surged by 9.95%, higher than the 8.81% in the previous quarter, marking the fastest growth rate in four years. According to Agence France-Presse, Vietnam has long been a successful model among Asian economies, with its Communist Party government setting a goal of achieving double-digit growth within the next five years. The General Statistics Office of Vietnam indicated that the economic growth rate for the first nine months of this year was 9.01%, the highest growth rate for the same period in 15 years, with exports and imports increasing by 24.5% and 36.7% year-on-year, respectively. Despite facing pressure from new tariffs imposed by its largest export market, the United States, Vietnam's economic growth rate reached 8% last year, making it one of the fastest-growing countries globally. In late September, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) revised Vietnam's economic growth forecast for this year upward from 7.2% in July to 7.8%. This growth is attributed to "continued expansion of manufacturing, strong domestic consumption, and sustained foreign direct investment." In September, FTSE Russell upgraded Vietnam's stock market to a "Secondary Emerging Market." Source link: https://www.rti.org.tw/news?uid=3&pid=235567
