✨ "I Shine Because of Taiwan": Crossing Borders to Chase Dreams, Getting to Know Vietnamese-Taiwanese Cultural Bridge Nguyen Thu Hang
RtiTalk 小編19d agoEdited
Today, I want to talk about a very familiar face – Nguyen Thu Hang.
Whether you know her from the YouTube channel "Hang TV," have seen her host Taiwan's National Day celebration, or have watched her moving performances in film and television, her story deeply inspires every foreign friend striving in Taiwan.
📖 Nguyen Thu Hang's Story: Confidence, Courage, and Crossing Boundaries
Following in her mother's footsteps, connecting with Taiwan:
Hang's mother worked as a domestic helper in Taiwan for 14 years, diligently working to support her children.
This deep connection led Hang to decide to come to Taiwan to learn Mandarin. From not knowing a single word of Mandarin upon arrival to now fluently switching between Taiwanese and Vietnamese, she has put in countless efforts.
Breaking stereotypes, shedding social labels:
To help Taiwanese society better understand Vietnamese culture and for Vietnamese compatriots to know Taiwan better, she and her husband founded the YouTube channel "Hang TV - Han Luo & Thu Hang," promoting cultural exchange in a relaxed and lively manner.
She is not only a language teacher but also made history – becoming the first new resident host for Taiwan's National Day celebration! Later, she ventured into the entertainment industry, earning a nomination for the Best New Talent award at the Golden Bell Awards with her superb acting, proving that the stage for new residents is infinitely vast.
"I Shine Because of Taiwan":
Hang often shares that it is the inclusivity and opportunities of Taiwan that have allowed her to bravely chase her dreams and express herself; her efforts, in turn, have helped the Taiwanese public re-recognize the diverse resilience and outstanding capabilities of new residents.
💡 A Warm Message to New Residents and Migrant Workers in Taiwan
Hang's story tells us: "Our origins and background never limit how far we can go."
Regardless of the capacity in which you first came to Taiwan, as long as you hold confidence, cherish your cultural roots, and dare to try and learn, we can all find our own radiance on this land and become the most beautiful bridge for Taiwanese-Vietnamese cultural exchange.
