[International] Indonesia's Mount Bromo Wildfire Spreads, National Park Closes Tourist Activities

According to Reuters, as the wildfire that broke out on the 3rd has spread to the crater, the management of Bromo Volcano National Park in East Java, Indonesia announced on the evening of the 8th that all tourist activities will be closed.
The park's operating unit stated in an official Instagram post that Bromo Volcano National Park was closed on the evening of the 8th, with no determined duration.
The wildfire has burned approximately 176 hectares (434.91 acres) of land around Mount Bromo. Mount Bromo is an active volcano, famous for its "sand sea" crater landscape, and is a popular tourist destination.
The statement indicated that this closure is a crucial measure to ensure the safety of tourists, staff, and residents in the surrounding areas. Visitors who have already purchased tickets can reschedule their visit or apply for a refund.
The East Java Provincial Disaster Management Agency stated that authorities are deploying firefighting helicopters and water-spraying drones to enhance firefighting efforts.
