[Life] Low-pressure trough affects central and southern Taiwan, prone to rain; severe thunderstorm warning for Kaohsiung, Pingtung, and Taitung

The Central Weather Administration stated that today (29th), affected by a low-pressure trough, the environmental wind field will be from southwest to south. Central and southern regions will experience localized brief showers or thunderstorms. The administration issued an immediate severe thunderstorm warning this morning for "Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County, and Taitung County," effective until 8:02 AM. Other areas will have cloudy skies with localized brief thunderstorms in the afternoon. Moisture remains high, and the environment is relatively unstable.
Regarding temperature, the high in the south and Taitung will be around 31-32 degrees Celsius. Other regions can reach 33-35 degrees Celsius. Greater Taipei and Taoyuan have a chance of localized high temperatures exceeding 36 degrees Celsius. The weather will be hot, with strong ultraviolet rays reaching the excessive level. Please take sun protection measures and drink plenty of water.
Outlying island weather: Penghu will be overcast to cloudy with brief showers or thunderstorms, 26-30 degrees Celsius; Kinmen will be cloudy with brief showers, 27-32 degrees Celsius; Matsu will be cloudy with brief showers, 27-31 degrees Celsius.
Typhoon No. 21, Etau (named by the United States), and Typhoon No. 22, Bang-Lang (named by Vietnam), are both typhoons of light intensity, located far from Taiwan, and have no direct impact on the weather. (Editor: Liu Xiang-Hua)
