[Life] Ministry of Culture Holds Literature and Picture Book Matching Events to Find Partners for Excellent Works

To cultivate domestic creative talent and enable more original excellent works to be published and read, the Ministry of Culture has held literature creation and picture book matching events for two consecutive weeks, assisting works in finding partners.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Culture, following last week's "2026 Literature Creation Award Second Matching Event," today (29th), the "Picture Book and Illustrated Book Creation, Publication, and Marketing Award First Matching Event" was held at Huashan 1914 Creative Park in Taipei.
Nineteen awarded creators personally shared their works in progress and interacted with professionals in related publishing fields.
The works participating this time cover a rich and diverse range of themes, illustration styles, and narrative methods, including issues such as ecological conservation, multiculturalism, and life education. In addition to hand-painting and digital drawing, creative techniques also include collage, clay, and other different media. Some works have already preliminary intentions for publishing cooperation.
The press release stated that the "Literature Creation Award Second Matching Event" on the 22nd was held at the "Taiwan Literature Granary Cross-domain Stage." Ten creators who had previously received literature creation awards were invited to share, including Luo Yi-wen's "See: My Mother is from Vietnam," Shi Sheng-zhi's "Island Lion Hunting Tó-sū Sai-á-siú," Liao Qi-zheng's "The Great Flood of Wuxi," Tu Jing-yin's "Twilight in Batumthani," Lin Xin-hui's "Unquantifiable Distance," Weng Yu-ting's "Mirror Snow," He Cheng-wei's "Perhaps There Are Answers in the Mountains," Chen Jian-zuo's "Embers," Duan Pei-yu's "New Agent Hair Salon," and Qiu Yi-jia's "In the Distance."
The Ministry of Culture stated that the "Literature Creation Award Program" has supported nearly 400 works to date, with 100 of them already published, and several works adapted into TV series, stage plays, and cross-domain content. The Ministry of Culture has also focused on "picture books and illustrated books," a creative genre that complements text and can accelerate translation into foreign languages, and has successively introduced related creative support points.
