The 2026 National Day Gala will be held in Banqiao, New Taipei City on October 9th. In addition to inviting Golden Melody Award winners like Enno Cheng, Japanese singer Maki Ohguro, who sang the ending theme song for "Slam Dunk," will also perform in Taiwan. Free tickets will be available on KKTIX starting at 1 PM on September 5th, with a limit of two tickets per person.
The New Taipei City Department of Cultural Affairs announced today (2nd) that the 2026 National Day Gala will take place at the Banqiao Stadium 1 on October 9th at 6 PM. This year's theme is "A World Stage, Gathering in Taiwan." Admission is by free ticket with assigned seating, and over 9,000 seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Department of Cultural Affairs stated that the gala will be hosted by Chen Ming-chu and Liu Jie-chung. The lineup includes Golden Melody Award winners: Best Aboriginal Singer Sangpuy, Best Taiwanese Singer Enno Cheng, and Best Hakka Singer Huang Tzu-hsuan, showcasing Taiwan's musical soft power. Additionally, Jiang Shu-na, known as "Sister Three," will collaborate with the Taiwan Top team "Longtan Philharmonic Orchestra," and new generation singer HowZ will perform hip-hop songs.

In addition to domestic artists, Japanese singer Maki Ohguro, who sang the ending theme song for the classic anime "Slam Dunk," will perform. Indonesian indie pop-rock trio Grrrl Gang and Korean indie folk singer-songwriter Lee Long will also gather in New Taipei. The National Day Gala also invites the New Taipei City Symphony Orchestra, drag queens, and other performance groups to showcase Taiwan's diverse, open, and vibrant image.
The Department of Cultural Affairs reminds the public that Banqiao Stadium 1 is located near Banqiao Station, a major transportation hub connecting trains, MRT, and high-speed rail. It is about a 5-minute walk from the station to the venue, and there is also a bus transfer station nearby. Public transportation is encouraged.
